Artist Statement

The works in this exhibit explore my relationship with the "Shadow"—a term coined by Carl Jung, symbolizing the parts of myself I once suppressed. I see this not as something to fear, but as a source of cathartic transformation.

I designed this exhibit to be an immersive journey into my emotional world. The experience begins in a constricted corridor, mirroring the mental prison of rigidity I carried for years. Here, the Acknowledgment Collection charts my passage from resisting my Shadow to viewing it as a necessary guide. The path opens into an explorative space, a visual representation of the liberation and joy found through radical self-acceptance.

My goal isn't to tell you how or what to think, but to welcome you into my experience. Whether my perspective resonates with you or not, I trust you are here for a reason.

Thank you for being here.
